My mother, Melba Maude Meakin went to great lengths to teach me the family ways and had requested that her interment be at Doty Dryad Cemetery in Doty, WA, where both her parents are along with my grandfather's sister who died in the 1919 American Flu Epidemic. I am recording the fact that not only are my mother's wishes being violated the fact that she is being cremated is against every belief that she held as I would often tease her to see if she would be up for cremation and than the burial at the family cemetery. She would laugh and say no she wanted to be with her parents at the Doty Dryad Cemetery in Doty, Washington in full body form. This obvious violation of my mother, Melba Maude Meakin and her directions to what she had saved for me specifically should be in her Will and Trust and/or Living Will along with specific notes/instructions for me, Karen Anastasia Placek and how she wished her Estate. To date January 14, 2017 and as per my mother, Melba Maude Meakin I should have already received these instructions, I have not. Placek to ensure that should this not be on her recorded Death Certificate that I would record in proper, which is now done on my own personal profile here at google+. My mother, Melba Maude Meakin gave rise to these subjects and the great importance of make America great again by and during the matters concerning her parents and my grandparents acute home care. My grandparents died peacefully at 22 -22nd Avenue, my mother's home in San Francisco, California and I am witness to her completion of not only their wish not to die in hospital but in addition to be surrounded by family when they went. The local SFPD showed up to verify the 'do not resuscitate' information as in San Francisco you must resuscitate regardless of age or incident. This should all be on the record at SFPD and also with SFFD as and under the address 22-22nd Avenue as at the very least the call would have been recorded. My grandmother Nana, Melba Mary (nee Russell) Ross went peacefully in her sleep on August 8, 2003 in San Francisco, CA seven days after her 94th birthday. She will be joining her loving husband of sixty-eight years C.O. Ross who passed on in June of 1999 and son Lowell Richard Ross who passed on in January of 1995. Beloved mother of Melba Maude Meakin and Clyde Russell Ross. Grand-mother to Tamara, Edward, Roman, Karen, Melinda, Sarah, Philip and Chan-telle. Great grandmother to Shareshten, Rebecca, Kathleen, Kelsey, Johno, Lauren and Clyde.
At the age of 15 she dedicated her life to the Lord. She attended Glad Tidings Bible Institute in San Francisco, where she completed her biblical studies. Her ministry began in the small towns of the Willamette Valley and the Oregon Coast. In 1932 she married the love of her life, C.O. Ross, after which they embarked on their sixty year long ministry. Together they pastored and served for nine churches.
Family and friends will gather at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at the family home to celebrate Melba's life. A service will be held at Calvary Cross Church in Roseburg, OR Friday August 15, 2003 at 7 pm. My niece Kelsey Placek called and confirmed my mother, Melba Maude Meakin is dead. My niece Kelsey Placek informed me that Rebecca, Kathleen and Lauren my daughters are not speaking to my son, their brother Johno because he has spoken to me a couple of times in the past year. As siblings are very important and as I know what it is to be so alone, as my siblings did not call me to tell me of my mother's death I will no longer be expecting phone calls from my son as he needs his siblings going forward more than he will need me. As life in the ordinary fashion or in the usual order of things takes the parent first I believe that it is important my children establish or re-establish a good relationship as life in the United States of America is getting worse and worse. To know and draw comfort from knowing that my son Johno will have Rebecca, Kathleen and Lauren by his side throughout their lives gives me more an embrace today, Friday, January 13, 2017.
Through the grape's vine there will be no service for my mother, Melba Maude Meakin. My mother, Melba Maude Meakin will be cremated, which was gravely against her wishes but I had teased her for years about being done. It is sort of strange as my family are strong believing Christians and they do not believe in cremation. I have no more information. As I do not know the in's nor out's of the why's in such a conversation with my niece Kelsey I can only hold to the fact that she said it and it sounded extremely distressing and rather disturbing to know that Johno my son is unable to have a relationship unless he cuts all contact off with myself.
