Took both these off my google plus as they may be considered rude and I don't want to offend anyone

________________________________after some thought none of this is really my business however I will keep it in case a person has a problem and anybody needs to read it or may think I am trying to hide something.  I am just make this note to remind myself to not write about things that may be used to say that I am being rude or judgmental and in reality I am just making my own observation.  But I need to remind myself again that although not one person has said anything the reads on each blog is a bit high and for some strange reason the profile views on my google plus are outrageously high.
Note to self:
Removed 2 posts on 8/30/2016 at 2:33 PM and am keeping them in this area of my computer storage so that they can be easily seen should anyone feel that they need to look at whatever I may be writing or deciding to delete due to the high viewing numbers I believe this is the easiest thing to do in order to remain totally honest while deciding that I do indeed have the freedom of speech but rude may be a topic that is .... well who really knows these days.

With all the National Media and their constant on subject of violence and horrific shootings in the streets of the United States why is the International Spy Shop ( ) or why is this 'type of store' not been asked to close, move, shutdown, or why has not one person done a story on this type of 'tourist attraction' ??  The pictures alone are a terrible pass to the psyche?? The horror should shamble your dance to a full bore freeze.  As yesterday in the City, I did the tourist thing and in-doing the 'Tourist Thing' I went to see  a tourist attraction that actually to point and to be more to the point will include the bit-word as history in example?? The Balclutha !!!!

The Balclutha is a three-masted, steel-hulled, square-rigged ship built to carry a variety of cargo all over the world and the National Park Service opened a pier down on the wharf to include that set of incredible boats as well, as the Balclutha listed is at their harbor museum.

Being that Vessel specific was included in the 'free of charge' wonderful offer to experience and as the National Park Service offered four days this past week for all of us to be able to go see our local sights I had made the decision to go after seeing the advertised on the local News and decided to take them up on their generosity.

The Balclutha Launched in 1886 by the Charles Connell and Company shipyard near Glasgow, Scotland, the ship carried goods around Cape Horn (tip of South America) 17 times.  It took a crew of about 26 men to handle the ship at sea with her complex rigging and 25 sails.

This incredible Vessel moored down on the wharf and has been in the Bay Area for all to view both coming and going, by plane, boat, ship, cars and a friend of mind used to Crew as a volunteer when I was a kid so indeed it was a huge part of my life always.  As he had told me many a story and absolutely loved doing education, in fact he used to take kids to the ...well that's a segway and I should stick to this story and not go off on my mothers work with Student League of San Francisco, back to my story.  He loved to work the lines and I thought to finally go.  The moment was meant to be a memory magical,  as this friend also, sadly and ultimately ended up by I guess some weird traditional thing taking a giant leap of faith, the only draw-back was it happened to be the gasping, suffocating reality to I as he took his life by jumping off the bridge which is why I never went to go see the Balclutha. For it was a painful and really difficult horror and at the same time this amazing man that had an amazing life, and, as in one such accomplishment,  he went to night school (the years to be understood as he did so many things on a daily basis) and graduated from Hastings School of Law  becoming a lawyer, degree specific.  As I remember this was really a big commitment, causing tons of stress to him, but he stuck with it and when he passed the Bar the world was his oyster and that degree was truly not a pearl, it was however a moment I will never forget.

You must truly see the pride of a Man  enjoy the wonder of that incredible moment of Men and change your life NOW.  To be witness to such demand, I tremble at the sight of a memory so close to my real.  Anyhow obviously this joyful moment of many, many things had to be, and, life is life so I did not want to spoil it by just having to have to deal with it.  I wanted to somehow embrace the entire love, the wonder of such an enduring spirit that taught many more than just I, and, also deal with the reality that his ultimate decision devastated everything that he had taught me since I was really young.

As I didn't want to deal with it, but had to also endure the truth and I knew that he was an adult and I was only four years old when he met my mother and I in an extremely odd circumstance as the two of us had been kidnapped and he was the one that picked us up at the airport back East.  Truly times that multiply in dynamic conversation, BUT since nobody speaks anymore AND as I am sticking to my story I shall 'simple say' he made his bridge decision. It has been a bit different than what I have been able to thoroughly understand AND it has taken me years, and years and years and even more years to choose to go and physically see the Balclutha as I knew that not by view, not by see and by actually walking those decks I would indeed finally know that I was walking the last steps that he ever took on this earth.  This was a difficult hold to not waiver in such a life that had taken so much time to educate me in and about life and the aspects thereof.

I don't want to counter your mind with my story, however that presents the HORROR of the Spy Shop all that much worse as THAT STORE is just blaring this horrid picture in its window and it was rather shocking to my day of such a hold that I nearly fell down, especially in lieu of all the News Casting all over the ENTIRE WORLD that our Country is, well I would quote somebody recently that said such disgusting barf that I will just say that that person said we all deserve it.  That makes doing anything with a settled approach not difficult but makes the entire process of being out on the town more to the effect of  "eyes up" and pay attention. In such, as I have been taught to be aware and the picture from the International Spy Shop is one thing but up close and personal?? or how 'bout your just cruising around in your own minds thought of personal history, well that was off the board.

Now you read all about how exciting it is and then ask the media what it is doing with reporting the constant dial of gun violence saying that nobody understands it.  This is quite self-explanatory, it even has a Yelp page.

_________________________________________took both of these posts down off google plus

I was down at the Wharf and all the ole time Crab Stands are just gone and this picture is the only one I can find that even says Alioto's on a building time and date to appropriate. As Joey had the Crab Stand outside Castagnola's and it is not only just gone it has a bunch of junk where the Best Stand in the entire city was, because it was (don't laugh) just like sitting at Danny's in the Marina!! Of course Joey had been given the old bar stools and that was a treasure that he and I always sort of laughed quietly about. What happened to all the Crab Stands as its weird on the wharf now as it is like an unhappy disneyland spot as even the tourists were stranger than usual. And, you should check out the totally freaky store a block up and in the middle across from the hotel. Its some gun place that says Spy something and it is a place you shoot people in some kind of visual video sort of thing. I will tell you those fucking guns looked real and they have a metal detector when you walk in. I went in 'cause I couldn't believe the window dressings as they were paper Men targets all shot out and I thought is this some kind of new 'Believe it or Not' sort of place. So when I went in and to the front counter I had the worst feeling but I stayed so that I could ask what the fuck it was. This gal comes up and says it is a shootem up place, 'Cowboys and Indians' and some other weird shit that I didn't quite understand. I asked who comes here and she said mostly all tourists. Why would tourists come all the way from Europe to shoot people up at Fishermans Wharf in San Francisco and she said it was very popular. All I know is that the public is constantly bitching about gun violence and that tourist joint had more guns than I have ever seen in a fucking gun shop, not that I have ever been in a gun shop but on T.V. it didn't look that stocked. As I listened about that whole orange tip thing on the end of those fuckers to know what the hell that story was all about I noticed something, YOU ARE ALL INSANE because that little orange microscopic plastic piece of whatever was not easily identifiable. So to you all in the United States, your local wharf might be the place to visit should you not have been there in a while and your shock to your wharf might deliver your tune to blaming the police for all the violence a brand new reality, called tourists.

This Goes To KGO and Commercial Advertisement?? Or that commercial that KGO runs as ..... well you gotta listen to get the full divide

Current tests[edit]

*Normalized IQ distribution with mean 100 and standard deviation 15.
There are a variety of individually administered IQ tests in use in the English-speaking world.[33][34] The most commonly used individual IQ test series is the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale for adults and the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children for school-age test-takers. Other commonly used individual IQ tests (some of which do not label their standard scores as "IQ" scores) include the current versions of the Stanford-BinetWoodcock-Johnson Tests of Cognitive Abilities, the Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children, the Cognitive Assessment System, and the Differential Ability Scales.
IQ tests measuring adult intelligence also includes:
  1. Stanford–Binet Intelligence Scales
  2. Woodcock–Johnson Tests of Cognitive Abilities
  3. Raven's Progressive Matrices
  4. Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale
  5. Cattell Culture Fair III
  6. Reynolds Intellectual Assessment Scales
  7. Thurstone's Primary Mental Abilities [35][36]
  8. Differential Ability Scales
  9. Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test[37]
  10. Multidimensional Aptitude Battery II
  11. Das–Naglieri cognitive assessment system
IQ scales are ordinally scaled.[38][39][40][41][42] While one standard deviation is 15 points, and two SDs are 30 points, and so on, this does not imply that mental ability is linearly related to IQ, such that IQ 50 means half the cognitive ability of IQ 100. In particular, IQ points are not percentage points.
On a related note, this fixed standard deviation means that the proportion of the population who have IQs in a particular range is theoretically fixed, and current Wechsler tests only give Full Scale IQs between 40 and 160. This should be borne in mind when considering reports of people with much higher IQs.[43][44]

Mensa is the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world.[3][4][5] It is a non-profit organization open to people who score at the 98thpercentile or higher on a standardized, supervised IQ or other approved intelligence test.[6][7] Mensa formally comprises national groups and the umbrella organization Mensa International, with a registered office in Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, England[8] (which is separate from the British Mensa office in Wolverhampton[9]). The word mensa (/ˈmɛnsə/; Latin: [ˈmensa]) means "table" in Latin, as is symbolized in the organization's logo, and was chosen to demonstrate the round-table nature of the organization; the coming together of equals.[10]

Roland Berrill, an Australian barrister, and Dr. Lancelot Ware, a British scientist and lawyer, founded Mensa at Lincoln College, in Oxford, England, in 1946. They had the idea of forming a society for very intelligent people, the only qualification for membership being a high IQ.[6] It was to be non-political and free from all other social distinctions (racial, religious, etc.).[10]
American Mensa was the second major branch of Mensa. Its success has been linked to the efforts of its early and longstanding organizer, Margot Seitelman.[11]

Membership requirement[edit]

Mensa's requirement for membership is a score at or above the 98th percentile on certain standardised IQ or other approved intelligence tests, such as the Stanford–Binet Intelligence Scales. The minimum accepted score on the Stanford–Binet is 132, while for the Cattell it is 148.[12] Most IQ tests are designed to yield a mean score of 100 with astandard deviation of 15; the 98th-percentile score under these conditions is 130.
Most national groups test using well established IQ test batteries, but American Mensa has developed its own application exam. This exam is proctored by American Mensa and does not provide a score comparable to scores on other tests; it serves only to qualify a person for membership.[citation needed] In some national groups, a person may take a Mensa-offered test only once, although one may later submit an application with results from a different qualifying test.[12]

Mensa's constitution lists three purposes: "to identify and to foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity; to encourage research into the nature, characteristics, and uses of intelligence; and to provide a stimulating intellectual and social environment for its members".[13]
To this end, the organization is also involved with programs for gifted childrenliteracy, and scholarships, and it also holds numerous gatherings.

Organizational structure[edit]

Mensa International consists of more than 121,000 members,[2] in 50 national groups. Individuals who live in a country with a national group join the national group, while those living in countries without a recognized chapter may join Mensa International directly. The largest national groups are[14] American Mensa, with more than 57,000 members,[15]British Mensa, with over 21,000 members,[16] and Mensa Germany, with more than 11,000 members.[17] Larger national groups are further subdivided into local groups. For example, American Mensa has 134 local groups, with the largest having over 2,000 members and the smallest having fewer than 100. Some members even live in the smallest country in the world.[18]
Members may form Special Interest Groups (SIGs) at international, national, and local levels; these SIGs represent a wide variety of interests, both commonplace and obscure, ranging from motorcycle clubs to entrepreneurial co-operations. Some SIGs are associated with various geographic groups, whereas others act independently of official hierarchy. There are also electronic SIGs (eSIGs), which operate primarily as e-mail lists, where members may or may not meet each other in person.
The Mensa Foundation, a separate charitable U.S. corporation, edits and publishes its own Mensa Research Journal, in which both Mensans and non-Mensans are published on various topics surrounding the concept and measure of intelligence. The national groups also issue periodicals, such as Mensa Bulletin, the monthly publication of American Mensa,[19] and Mensa Magazine, the monthly publication of British Mensa.[20]

Mensa has many events for members, from the local to the international level. Several countries hold a large event called the Annual Gathering (AG). It is held in a different city every year, with speakers, dances, leadership workshops, children's events, games, and other activities. The American and Canadian AGs are usually held during the American Independence Day (4 July) or Canada Day (1 July) weekends respectively.
There are also smaller gatherings called Regional Gatherings (RGs) held in various cities that attract members from large areas; the largest in the United States is held in the Chicago area around Halloween, and features a costume party for which many members create pun-based costumes.
In 2006, the Mensa World Gathering[21] was held from 8–13 August in Orlando, Florida to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Mensa. An estimated 2,500 attendees from over 30 countries gathered for this celebration. The International Board of Directors also had a formal meeting there. In 2010, a joint American-Canadian Annual Gathering was held in Dearborn, Michigan, to mark the 50th anniversary of Mensa in North America; this is one of several times the US and Canada AGs have been combined. Other multinational gatherings are the European Mensas Annual Gathering (EMAG), and the Asian Mensa Gathering (AMG).
Since 1990, American Mensa has also sponsored the annual Mensa Mind Games competition, whereat the Mensa Select award is given by American Mensa to five board games that are "original, challenging, and well designed".[22][23]
Individual local groups and their members also host smaller events for members and their guests. Lunch or dinner events, lectures, tours, theatre outings, and games nights are all common.

All Mensa groups publish members-only newsletters or magazines, which include articles and columns written by members, and information about upcoming Mensa events. Examples include the American Mensa Bulletin,[24] the British Mensa magazine,[25] Serbian MozaIQ,[26] the Australian TableAus,[27] the Mexican El Mensajero,[28] and the FrenchContacts.[29] Some local or regional groups have their own newsletter (for example in USA, UK, Germany, and France).
Mensa International publishes an Mensa World Journal, which "contains views and information about Mensa around the world". This journal is generally included in each national magazine.[30][31][32]
Mensa also publishes the Mensa Research Journal, which "highlights scholarly articles and recent research related to intelligence". Unlike most Mensa publications, this journal is available to non-members.[33]

All national and local groups welcome children; many offer activities, resources, and newsletters specifically geared toward gifted children and their parents. Both American Mensa's youngest member (Christina Brown)[34] and British Mensa's youngest member (Adam Kirby) joined at the age of two.[35] The current youngest member of Mensa is Adam Kirby, from Mitcham, Surrey, UK who was invited to join at the age of two years and four months and gained full membership at the age of two years five months. He scored 141 on the Stanford-Binet IQ test.[35][36] Elise Tan-Roberts of the UK is the youngest person ever to join Mensa, having gained full membership at the age of two years and four months.[35][37]
American Mensa's oldest member is 102,[38] and British Mensa had a member aged 103.[7]
According to American Mensa's website (as of 2013), 38 percent of its members are baby boomers between the ages of 51 and 68, 31 percent are Gen-Xers between the ages of 27 and 48, and more than 2,600 members are under the age of 18. There are more than 1,800 families in the United States with two or more Mensa members.[38] In addition, the American Mensa general membership is "66 percent male, 33 percent female". The aggregate of local and national leadership is distributed equally between the sexes.[38]
